What is LRT?

LiveU’s unique Reliable Transport protocol (LRT™) is at the heart of LiveU products (which power the IRL Backpack) to deliver optimized video performance. LRT™ enables reliable, low delay live video streaming over non-guaranteed IP networks and ensures reliable transport over the most unreliable of networks, including cellular networks - allowing you to acquire exciting live content in even the most remote locations. It is also what allows the cellular bonding of multiple connections for a super stable and strong uplink.

LiveU Solo's LRT service receives LRT and re-packages it into RTMP or SRT for delivery to your social platform or CDN of choice.

A standalone LRT subscription for a LiveU encoder costs $45 monthly, although this service is included in a Solo Connect subscription.
