Introduction
This guide covers Sony FX3, FX6, A7IV, A7SIII and most other Sony mirrorless cameras released after 2021.
Modern Sony cameras can output different resolutions over HDMI. In general it's best to set the HDMI resolution output to the same resolution you are delivering to your streaming platform, be it Twitch, YouTube or Kick.
Currently almost all IRL stream setups are run at 1080p resolution so in almost all situations 1080p is the resolution that should be selected in the camera.
TVU users must have the proper HDMI output resolution set as the TVU pack itself will inherit it's streaming resolution from the camera setting. This should almost always be 1080p.
Where to Find This Setting
To get started find the physical "menu" button on your camera body.
MENU →
"HDMI Info Display" must be set to Off so the camera output is clear of onscreen menus
